The hazard assessment protocol to be used in the upcoming EFSA re-evaluation of Bisphenol A (BPA) has undergone a web-based public consultation from 30 June to 3 September 2017. Overall EFSA has received 151 comments from various interested parties including national agencies, non-governmental organisations, industry, academia and private individuals. The contributors of the consultation and other relevant parties were invited to a Workshop on BPA hazard assessment protocol held in Brussels on 14 September 2017. This report summarises the outcome of the public consultation, lists and offers a brief summary of the comments received and how they were taken into account when finalising the protocol for endorsement by the Panel on Food Contact Materials, Enzymes, Flavourings and Processing Aids (CEF). This document also includes in an Appendix the summary report on the above mentioned Workshop.
